The goal of the Benbrook Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) is to help create a diverse and thriving economy for our community. The BEDC works to attract new businesses, support and retain existing businesses, and enhance the overall commercial appeal of the city.

A key component of the BEDC's efforts is the Storefront Improvement Program. Through this program, the BEDC provides a 50 percent matching grant to help property owners improve the façade or other exterior features of an existing commercial building.

The grant may not exceed $20,000, and preference is given to those businesses located along the Benbrook Boulevard/US 377 Highway corridor.
