The Benbrook Police Department Animal Control is responsible for controlling stray animal populations, returning lost animals to owners, investigating suspected cases of animal cruelty,
and responding to animal nuisance complaints.

Services include:

  • Aid to injured animals
  • Animal bite investigation
  • Barking dog and dangerous animal complaints
  • Humane traps for small animals
  • Stray animal pickup

The Benbrook Police Department manages the Benbrook Animal Shelter
(469 Winscott Road) and dispatches for Animal Control at 817-249-1610.

If you happen to see a young wild animal, please leave it alone. Most wild animals are not abandoned, and should be left to their nests, dens, or natural environments. If it appears an animal is injured, please call Animal Control.
