Elected in 2014, Renee Lee Ann Franklin is serving her fifth term as council member for the City of Benbrook. She has made Benbrook her hometown since 2001. Renee cherishes her immediate and extended family network. Se serves as a foster mon to dogs until they find their forever home.
Renee graduated from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science. Renee earned a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Texas A&M University, The Bush Online School of Government & Public Service in 2021. Renee recently received an Award of Excellence from the Texas Municipal League for fulfilling required continuing education requirements for five consecutive years. Renee is a Senior Business Intelligence Developer for a facility maintenance company based in Crowley, TX. She founded the non-profit Resources, Love, and Faith Inc. in 2018 to promote the welfare of others, especially by donating money to individuals and organizations in need of financial assistance. Renee also operates Customizing Solutions, a sole proprietorship, providing mathematical mentoring and organizational services.
Renee combines her passion for health and charitable service by supporting numerous organizations and events in and around the Benbrook community, including, but not limited to: 4 PAWS Inc. (Pets Are Worth Saving), Benbrook Lions Club, Benbrook Middle-High School Site Based Committee, Benbrook YMCA Board, American Legion Auxiliary Post 297, Benbrook Trash Bash, Women's Victory over Violence walk and YMCA Fort Worth Turkey Trot.
