Civil Service Commission

The Civil Service Commission adopts rules necessary for the proper conduct of Commission business; investigates and reports on matters relating to the enforcement of rules adopted by the Commission; hears appeals from an action provided in the Local Government Code; and possesses all powers granted under Chapter 143 of the Local Government Code.

Appointment


The Commission consists of three (3) members who serve three-year staggered terms, with the term of one member expiring each year. Commissioners are appointed by the City Manager.
